A step into history as soon as you walk inside. I love the support of local authors and current published items. The art work reminds me of my childhood and the fragrances options are great.

They usually have the books I need. If they don't, they will order it. Great selection of books, art and conversation of the Black experience. I picked up some great books for homeschooling, coloring books, cloth and activity cards. They have religious, science, homemaking , cooking...keep listing, they will help. The only Black owned bookstore in Omaha. Everyone should buy a book or two to support this communities growth.

Beautiful lady. Very helpful and kind spirited. So blessed to have met her. Everyone should visit this store at least once. Wide book selection very nice scents and oils too!!!! Come on my people let's get with it!

The merchandise is plentiful! Fragrances, a plethara of reading material, African American art and attire! The owner is so personable, down to earth and willing to go the extra mile for the customer! I'd most definitely recommend.

The store was super clean when I walked in the door! I hated wiping my wet shoes on the clean rug! I went in to buy oil based perfume for belated Christmas presents and the gentleman was patient. They have many many different oil based fragrances from the natural scents to the most popular scents. I never knew that they had a fragrance sale section, but they had one today! I bought the regularly priced and sale priced perfume AND cologne. What really made me smile outside of the friendly service was that I got a free bottle of perfume for buying 5 bottles today! I love FREE!

This is probably my favorite place in all of Omaha, NE, but I DEFINITELY know its my husband's favorite place as a native of Omaha. The owner, Ms. Annette is an absolutely beautiful & amazing soul. The energy in the store is pleasant and down home. You feel safe and welcomed with a warmth that just feels like home. I found 4 dresses there after not being able to find anything for months. My husband & I were so excited when the store was reopened. I have to stop in there at least once a week & I'm so thrilled to be a part of the monthly 📓 club!!!! Its gonna be so much fun...I know it! The Aframerican Bookstore reminds me of what I read about the African National Memorial Bookstore in Harlem. It's a powerful experience to visit. There is so much history, an incredible collection of books, beautiful artwork, and much more. Thank you all for creating such a welcoming place. We will make it a must visit on every trip to Omaha. Thank you.
